April really picked up the pace.

This month had my first TV audition of the year. At the time of writing I still haven't heard back, but I only submitted it the other day so I'm not too worried. I'm really happy with this tape. It's a very fun comedy project that I feel I'm right for, so we'll see what happens.

I also got my first audiobook audition in a very long time. This one was a bit of a surprise as the production studio came to me asking for a tape, which was a lovely thing to wake up to. I'm really happy with the tapes, but have no idea if it's been taken forward yet, again it was a fairly recent one.

I've referenced my casting director spreadsheet a few times in my posts. It's a compilation of all the UK casting directors I can find, and it logs my auditions for them, as well as their contact details and what they work on. I haven't put this plan into action yet because of the house move, but once that's underway I think I'll be able to devote more time and energy to making this work for me.

I did finally hear back from the big movie job I was up for, sadly I didn't get it. This was a bit of a blow to be honest, more so than rejections normally are. I applied for this role in October 2025 and was told to keep my hair long and not shave just in case they needed me, so I've been looking super scruffy for months. This had the effect of keeping the job in the forefront of my mind, always thinking about it, always considering it. It's nice to know I made it so deep into the process, but I can't help feeling disappointed that it wasn't to be.
