Plenty of adverts this month, but fairly quiet otherwise. Things have also slowed somewhat at the day-job so my job hunt has resumed. The temptation is always there to commit some time to re-training, maybe see if I can go for a more specialised bill paying job, but the thought of making myself unavailable for acting work seems counter-intuitive. If the whole point of having the day-job is to keep me going untill I can act, then what's the point in taking myself out of the running for what I really want?

Then again maybe I'm just being single minded to my own detriment. There really is no way to tell.

As you can no doubt tell from the date of publication, I am writing this in early August. It's daft because these updates are fairly quick to write and are good fun too, but it has been less of a priority than it should be really. I spent a fair amount of June sorting out things unrelated to acting and not having nearly as much fun as I should. To quote Julia Cameron in her book "The Artist's Way" I have been neglecting my inner artist. It's unavoidable to some extent. It ebbs and flows.

In my July update, which I'll probably post later this week, I'll write about some really fun things that have been happening. Because July was a LOT of fun.
